On Friday, May 30, 2025, a serious motorcycle accident occurred in the Wehratal around 11:15 a.m. For reasons of unknown reasons, a 30-year-old driver lost control of his motorcycle on the L 148 towards Schopfheim and came off the road. There he crashed into the guardrail and was seriously injured.

The emergency services immediately took the injured to a hospital, while the motorcycle was no longer ready to drive and had to be towed. The property damage is estimated at around 2,000 euros. The investigation into the exact cause of the accident is still underway.
