Alcoholized driver rams street lamp: police are looking for witnesses!
On Wednesday morning, June 5, 2025, a spectacular traffic accident occurred on the Franz-Josef-Strauß-Straße in the city center. A 49-year-old driver who was under the influence of alcohol got into a dangerous situation. Around 7:30 a.m., when he drove north, he faced an oncoming truck. Suddenly his nerves gave way! In the attempt to avoid the truck, the man crashed head -on against a street lamp.
Fortunately, the crash remained without injuries. The property damage incurred is estimated at around 25,000 euros - a real shock for the driver! Now the police are investigating due to the risk of road traffic and violations of the road traffic regulations. The officers are urgently looking for witnesses who can supplement the incident with information, as well as for the unknown truck driver.
