On Wednesday evening (May 28, 2025), a 29-year-old man from the environment of a murdered 30-year-old was arrested in Augsburg. The suspect was temporarily arrested shortly after the homicide on May 19, but later released again. Now the suspicion has been hardened by intensive investigations, and at the request of the public prosecutor's office, the Augsburg district court issued an arrest warrant for murder against him, who is now sitting in a correctional facility.

In the days after the crime, the police discovered a firearm, the connection to the murder case is still being examined. The investigation by a special 20-member commission of the criminal police is in full swing after the woman was shot in her apartment on Martinistraße.
