Great fire at the furniture store: married couple, millions of damage!
In the night from Sunday to Monday, June 9, 2025, a dangerous fire broke out in a former furniture store on Dhauner Strasse. At 02:25 a.m., a resident alerted the fire brigade when flames and smoke already knocked out of the roof structure. Immediately the fire brigade, police and emergency services work, supported by a total of 90 firefighters from the Kirner Land community.
Fortunately, the residents, an older couple, were able to flee from the burning building in good time and were taken to the hospital as a precaution. Despite the rapid reaction of the fire brigade, which prevented the fire from spreading, the preliminary property damage amounts to several hundred thousand euros. The cause of the fire is currently still unclear and is the focus of the investigation.| Details | |
