Motorcyclists seriously injured in overtaking maneuvers - L409 closed!

On Friday afternoon, a dramatic motorcycle accident occurred on the L409 between Wonsheim and Neu-Bamberg. A 29-year-old motorcyclist wanted to overtake two vehicles in front when he met an oncoming car. As a result, the young man had to cancel his overtaking maneuver. However, when he was rejected, he lost control of his motorcycle, came off the road and overturned several times.

The accident witnesses immediately provided first aid until the emergency services and a rescue helicopter arrived. The seriously injured motorcyclist was taken to the hospital. His motorcycle is no longer ready to drive after the incident, and the damage amounts to around 25,000 euros. The L409 was completely closed during the rescue operation. Witnesses who have information about the accident are asked to report to the police.
