Serious accident on B247: passenger fights for her life!

On Saturday morning there was a dramatic traffic accident on the B247 between Ohrdruf and Schwabhausen. A 42-year-old BMW driver had to stop at a red traffic light, but the 76-year-old driver of a Hyundai noticed this too late and crashed into the BMW unchecked. In the impact, both drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to a hospital.

The passenger of the person who caused the accident suffered serious injuries, but did not hover in mortal danger and had to be treated in hospital. Overall, the property damage amounts to around 50,000 euros. The B247 remained completely closed for about 75 minutes, which led to considerable traffic disruptions.
