Serious accident in Achstetten: BMW collapses head -on with truck!

A dramatic collision occurred in the late afternoon in Achstetter Straße when a 69-year-old BMW driver collided head-on with a Mercedes truck. The senior woman was on the way to Achstetten when she got on the oncoming lane for a previously unknown cause, where she collided with the truck of a 57-year-old driver. Despite an evasive attempt by the truck driver, the devastating impact occurred.

The 69-year-old suffered serious injuries and was immediately taken to the hospital, while the truck driver was unharmed. The damage to the BMW is estimated at around 20,000 euros, which at the Mercedes truck at around 50,000 euros. Achstetter Straße had to be closed during the accident, which led to considerable traffic disruptions. The accident site was finally cleared at 9 p.m. and the traffic ran freely again. The Laupheim transport service started the investigation into the cause of the accident.
