Action day Safe Mobile Living: Police protect children in road traffic!

On Tuesday, June 3, the district police authority Wesel took part in the nationwide action day "Super Mobil - #kinderimblick". From 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., the focus was on the safety of children in road traffic. Officials from traffic accident prevention carried out a large prevention campaign at the Royal Court in Moers, which sensitized children to dangers. A highlight was the belt sled, which clearly demonstrated how dangerous it is when children are not strapped on while driving.

In addition, children were able to test their skill in an obstacle course, while adults with special glasses experienced the effects of alcohol on their driving skills. Malactions with police motifs ensured that the smallest learned the right behavior in road traffic in a playful way. Around 160 vehicles were checked during the circular checks, which led to 125 violations of the rules, including speed violations and lack of traffic safety. Overall, the police look back on this important day of action.
