In the night of May 30, 2025, a vehicle fire occurred in Monheim am Rhein, where the rear tire of a car opened on fire. The police have started investigations and checked whether this incident is connected to another fire nearby. This second incident is a VW Golf that was significantly damaged.

The police assume intentional arson and examines the possible relationships between the two incidents. Witnesses are called to report to contribute to clarification.
