The Söcheringer Festival 2025, which ended on Sunday with an impressive church train, a field service and a pageant, numerous visitors attracted and ensured a cheerful atmosphere. Sebastian Luidl, the chairman of the Söcheringen music band, announced that the response of the guests was extremely positive and the marquee, which offered space for 2000 people, was fully occupied. These festive days were particularly important because, due to the corona pandemic five years ago, no anniversary could be celebrated.
The organizers, consisting of the traditional costume association "Stoaröserl" (105 years), the music band (155 years) and the drummer train (60 years), not only limited the celebrations to music-pastor Nikolaj Dorner celebrated the field service and thus praised the 320-year history of the club. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of humanity and understanding in the community. The light rain in front of the church train meant that some traditional costumes temporarily visited the marquee.
parade and guests of honor
In the afternoon there was a large parade in which numerous music bands, festival cars and local associations took part. District Administrator Andrea Jochner-Weiß and Vice Mayor Rudi Ottl sen were sitting in the honorary carriage. The mood was described as "beautiful but exhausting" for the liver, which aptly described community head Reinald Huber.
With the aim of maintaining customs and domestic brass music, the Musikverein Polling is actively involved in the festivities. Future appearances are already planned: On June 22, 2025, the Pähler is celebrated, followed by the Corpus Christi procession in Polling. The Musikverein offers a wide program that covers numerous events in the region, including the Thanksgiving Festival and the district music festival in Eglfing in July.
