New Advisory Board in Berlin: Psychosocial emergency care on the agenda!

Berlin, Deutschland - Yesterday the first constituent meeting of the Advisory Board for Psychosocial Emergency Care (PSNV) of the State of Berlin took place. The newly educated committee combines representatives from the Senate Administrations for Interior, Education, Health and Justice, Berlin aid organizations as well as the churches and the police. Under the direction of Roland Weber, the victim representative, and Justus Münster, the state representative for PSNV, the Advisory Board is intended to develop binding quality standards for psychosocial emergency care and reform the training of emergency services.

The advisory board has set itself the goal of developing concrete recommendations for dealing with crises and major damage events and ensuring optimal cooperation between the police, fire brigade and clinics. Another central point is the support of first -aid and emergency services who need help themselves after stressful missions. The work of the Advisory Board is based on the law on psychosocial emergency care in Berlin.
