The Waiblingen criminal police department has discovered a dangerous internet platform that wanted to bring people nationwide with an investment fraud for their money. Thanks to extensive investigations, over 600 people could be warned of the platform using SMS. Overall, around 230,000 euros were prevented. The police also secured over 100,000 euros that were already dependent.

Although the fraudulent website has now been switched off, damage could not be averted in all cases. The police warn for caution: Precise information is essential before registering for investment platforms, and personal data should never be revealed. Consumers are advised to use the service of the consumer center or the Federal Financial Agency to protect themselves from such fraudsters.
