Almost 60 promotions: Wildeshauser fire brigade celebrates tradition and success!
Almost 60 members of the Wildeshaus fire brigade were promoted during a solemn ceremony in the clay cow. Mayor Jens Kuraschinski took part in the fire brigade for the 39th time, which has been a tradition for over 100 years. This year of honor ceremony recorded an above -average number of promotions, which is due to a new fire brigade regulation that offers more generous transport options.
The event attracted over 200 participants, including guests of honor and representatives of other blue light organizations. Since the march started in the city center at 5 a.m. and led to the Peter Sander restaurant, the firefighters were able to enjoy a breakfast together in a sociable group, accompanied by musical entertainment. new fire brigade regulation and training
On April 11, 2025, a new fire brigade regulation came into force in Lower Saxony, which brought numerous changes. Among other things, this regulation provides for new uniforms and revised rank badges based on recommendations from the structural commission "Operating location Future". The aim is to increase identification within the fire brigades and thus also to promote young talent. The changeover to the new uniforms takes place without the municipalities' obligation.
The changed fire brigade regulation also wants to strengthen the quality of the training in the voluntary fire departments. The training in the fire service regulations (FWDV) is uniformly regulated nationwide and includes basic activities such as extinguishing and assistance operations as well as the training of respiratory protection carriers.
Overall, these developments are steps towards a future -proof fire service in Lower Saxony, which is considered an important progress by those responsible. Mayor Kuraschinski paid tribute to the excellent camaraderie and the tireless efforts of the firefighters in Wildeshausen.
