Casa Don Papa: Tropical pleasure paradise in the heart of Berlin!

What's going on in Berlin? A special pop-up bar is currently opening that brings the flavors and soul of the Philippines to Germany. Casa Don Papa at “Romy by Amano” will open its doors to food lovers until October 31st and promises an experience that combines both Filipino cuisine and modern drink culture. Hosted by the creative minds Nawid Samawat and Tarek Nix, the bar offers a selection of unusual colada variations and creative tiki drinks.

The opening of Casa Don Papa has already attracted numerous guests from the media and Berlin food scene. Brand Ambassador Marius Köhne describes the event as a homage to Filipino culture, and Florian Perret, Brand Manager of Don Papa at Sierra Madre, also emphasizes the cultural authenticity and special enjoyment. The bar's thoughtful branding reflects Don Papa MassKara's Filipino heritage and ornate details, while tropical elements further enrich the atmosphere.

A pleasure for all senses

Casa Don Papa not only focuses on the drinks, but also on a comprehensive food concept that takes up the taste traditions of the Philippines. The combination of exquisite cuisine and creative drinks makes a visit to the bar an unforgettable experience. The special drink creations that were specially developed by Tarek Nix and his team are particularly popular.

2025 was an eventful year for Don Papa Rum. In addition to the opening of Casa Don Papa, the brand took part in several festivals, including the Open Beatz and the Echelon Festival. The highlight was the “Jungle of Memories” stage at the Parookaville Festival. The new spiced rum Don Papa Alon was also introduced, which scores with aromas of coconut, jackfruit and various spices. These developments underline the rise of the brand, which originated on the island of Negros and is named after the Filipino revolutionary Papa Isio.

This means that Casa Don Papa will not only be a venue for delicious drinks, but also a recommended place to get to know the culture and traditions of the Philippines. “A great year for Don Papa, and the crowning glory is the Casa Don Papa,” Florian Perret sums it up. Enjoyment and culture combine here in a special way, so don't miss it!
