Drugs, money and judicial debt: Federal Police strikes at the border crossing

Hörbranz, Österreich - The Federal Police did several delicate finds at the Hörbranz border crossing (BAB 96) during controls on May 24th and 27th. In two German rental vehicle occupants, drugs, a knife and an unannounced cash amount were secured. The 29-year-old not only had hashish and cannabis, but also a 16-centimeter knife. His companion, 28 years old, transported over 110 grams of hashish and 38 tablets of the prescription drug Alprazolam. Both men are already known to the police and are now expecting reports about violations of the Narcotics Act and the Weapons Act.

In addition, the vehicle owner, 29 years old, was loaded with metal scrap and could not provide evidence of the load. During the check, it was found that there was a search for him due to assets that provided a confiscation of over 12,000 euros. He also carried 11,800 euros in cash that he could not register. The federal police ensured the cash for further processing by the main customs office Friedrichshafen.
