Skopje, Nordmazedonien - On May 30, 2025, Prof. Dr. Peter Mark, Chairman of Solid Building at the Ruhr University Bochum, appointed honorary professor at the University of Holy Kyrill and Method in Skopje. This award took place as part of the celebrations for the 76th anniversary of the foundation and the patronage festival, the day of St. Kyrill and Method. Prof. Mark, who has promoted the exchange of knowledge and experiences between the two universities for over 20 years, was recognized for his extraordinary contribution to the development of science and education.

The longstanding cooperation in civil engineering, which has existed for over 40 years, was particularly emphasized. The aim of this collaboration is to enable a transition from a master to a PHD cooperation, in which doctoral students should research both in Skopje and in Bochum.
