Idefix double competition inspires in the Berlin Museum!
Museum für Kommunikation, Berlin, Deutschland - on June 1, 2025 took place in Museum of Communication in Berlin A very special competition-the IDEFIX Lookalike competition. On the occasion of the 60th birthday of the Comic dog Idefix, five dogs were selected, which competed for the title of the best doppelganger of the popular character from the Asterix and Obelix books. The event offered space for up to 25 animals, but the limit was not quite exhausted this year. A jury rated the participants and selected the dog that looked the most like Idefix.
There were attractive prizes for the winners, including free tickets for the museum and high-quality articles from the Asterix and Obelix universe. This campaign was part of the ongoing special exhibition "Uderzo - from Asterix to the magic potion" , which can be seen until June 15th.appreciation of a comic genius
The exhibition is an appreciation of the famous draftsman Albert Uderzo, who died in 2020. This first comprehensive show outside of France shows over 120 original exposes that document important stations in Uderzo's artistic career. These include original illustrations for the cover picture of the first Asterix album as well as school booklets with drawings by the Junge Uderzo and Goscinny typewriter.
curated by Sylvie Uderzo and the Berlin comic author Flix, the exhibition offers a fascinating insight into the life and work of one of the most important comic artists in Europe. Among the exhibits shown are bronze statues from Asterix and Obelix and many personal objects from Uderzo's studio. Visitors: Inside, video installations and photographs that give an insight into Uderzo's creative processes.

asterix is considered the most successful comic character in Europe; Over 400 million copies of adventures were sold worldwide. The exhibition leads visitors through Uderzo's creative phases, from his first works in the 1930s to his last comics. The presentation of the first joint works with René Goscinny, such as "Jehan Pistolet" and "Oumpah-Pah" , is particularly exciting
Accompanying the exhibition, public tours are offered in German, French and English. Children under the age of 18 have free admission, and special workshops for school classes as well as for preschool children and elementary school students are also planned. These range from "writing like in ancient Rome" to "telling stories with comics".
