Innovations in the focus: Mittelstand day in Berlin inspires 2,000 visitors
Berlin, Deutschland - On June 5, 2025, the Innovation day Mittelstand of the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE) in Berlin. The event attracted around 2,000 participants, including specialists from business, science, politics and the public as well as around 300 exhibitors who presented their latest technologies, creative ideas and innovative projects. This diversity tears out the innovative strength of German middle class and its central role in social change.
gitta Connemann, the parliamentary state secretary and middle class officer of the federal government, opened the event and emphasized the enormous importance of medium -sized businesses for the economy. She also announced that the Federal Government intends to introduce measures to reduce electricity costs, to facilitate investments and to reduce bureaucracy. Such steps are necessary to further promote the growth and innovative ability of the companies.

As part of the innovation day, awards for particularly successful entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and network managers of the CIM projects of the year were also awarded. Three outstanding projects were able to prevail and were awarded for their innovative approach. These honors illustrate the high performance standards and creative solutions that are represented in German medium -sized companies.
In addition to the specially funded projects, offers should also be used to support companies. According to the Federal Network Agency , companies can request inqa first advice in regional inqa advisory centers (IBS). There, both the funding requirements and the company support needs are clarified. If there is a need, inqa coaching checks can then be requested that are carried out by authorized consultants.
The numerous events and funding opportunities offered as part of the innovation day and the BMWE underline the Federal Government's commitment to strengthen the German middle class and to promote its innovative strength sustainably. Innovation day is therefore not only a platform for presentations, but also an important forum for the exchange of ideas and the networking of actors from different industries.
