Bielefelder Zoll packs drug smugglers: 2 kilos of Ecstasy secured!
In a spectacular customs use, the Bielefeld customs secured around two kilograms of Ecstasy tablets on the A2 on May 23, 2025! During a traffic control at the Gütersloh Süd rest area, the officers stopped a Polish van, which was occupied by nine people. A crucial helper in this case was the customs dog "Lieschen Müller", who revealed the drug discovery through targeted behavior on a large case.
During the search, the customs officers discovered a black zip bag in the suitcase that contained orange tablets. A quick test confirmed the suspicion that it was Ecstasy. Criminal proceedings were initiated against the 28-year-old driver for violating the Narcotics Act. Although he was living in Germany and therefore there was no risk of escape, he was not allowed to continue the trip - his fellow travelers had to go without it. The incident is now published after investigations have been completed.
