143.5 million euros in KfW funding: a blessing for Uckermark and Barnim!

In the first half of 2025, a remarkable sum of 143.5 million euros in KfW funding was accessed in the Uckermark and Barnim constituencies. Stefan Zierke, the SPD member of the Bundestag for these regions, has published the details of the funding measures, highlighting the economic support for numerous projects in the region. These funds benefit entrepreneurs and private households to make investments in energy efficiency, infrastructure and renewable energies.

The distribution of the funding shows that the Uckermark received the lion's share with 106.6 million euros, while Barnim also benefits from the KfW funds with 36.9 million euros. In the Uckermark in particular, 96.9 million euros were invested in the areas of “energy efficiency and renewable energies”. Private customers were able to access 8.5 million euros for housing construction and energy efficiency. In Barnim, significant funds of 22.6 million euros were also made available for “living/living” and “renewable energy”. The medium-sized banks in Barnim also contributed 14.2 million euros to this funding volume.

Development bank with tradition

KfW, which has played a leading role in promoting economic growth since it was founded in 1948, provides targeted support to the regions through its programs. Its function as a “bank behind the banks” is particularly important because it does not operate directly as a branch and does not offer checking accounts. Instead, KfW refinances the banks that pass on the loans to end customers, which means that the actual use of the funds is often only realized through the use of the credit institutions.

The funding is not only important for large companies. Smaller companies and private individuals can also benefit from the subsidies, especially in times when investments in sustainable technologies and infrastructure are particularly encouraged. These investments not only benefit the economy, but also contribute to improving the quality of life in the affected regions.

Interim management as a solution in crisis situations

Another topic that is gaining importance in a different context is interim management. Companies that are in a transition phase are increasingly looking for experienced interim managers to fill short-term leadership gaps. This ensures stability in the processes and makes it possible to find quick solutions with experienced staff.

Whether as CEO in a specialist company or as COO in the construction industry – interim assignments have proven their worth. One example shows that an interim manager with over 20 years of experience in the manufacturing industry helped a company clean up after the departure of the full-time CEO, which ultimately led to the position becoming permanent. Interim helpers also found their way into the healthcare system, whose expertise significantly optimized work processes in regional hospitals and increased efficiency.

In conclusion, it can be said that both the KfW funding and the developments in interim management show how flexible and adaptable our economy is. Especially in uncertain times, access to financial support and competent leadership is crucial for entrepreneurial success and stability in society.
