Honor for Barnimer pioneers: schools and companies of the future!

On June 26, 2025, the ceremonial award for remarkable commitment in the professional orientation of young people took place at the Klostermühle Gut in Alt Madlitz. This 19th award recognized various schools and companies in East Brandenburg, which actively work for the professional development of young people. Not only was the participants' initiative emphasized, their innovative strength in the support of students in the career choice was also emphasized. According to barnim.de were honored.

The event was organized in close cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IHK), the Chamber of Crafts (HWK) and the Federal Employment Agency and WITO business development agency. This underlines the joint approach to securing skilled workers and strengthening the economic future of the Barnim region. Among other things, the AOK Nordost - Service Center Eberswalde, the GLG Society for Life and Health MBH and the GLG Werner Forßmann Klinikum Eberswalde GmbH received the coveted prizes.

The two excellent schools from the Barnim district are also particularly noteworthy: the Karl-Sellheim-School Eberswalde and the Free Joachimsthaler Gymnasium. These schools emerged through their extensive programs and concepts to support professional orientation, which has a major impact on the future career opportunities of their students. The application for the award requires a well thought -out concept and participation in a selection process.

Professional orientation is a central topic for many students, especially towards the end of their school days. Various offers for career orientation

Different programs take place as part of the comprehensive ideas for professional orientation. One of the most important is the professional orientation program (BOP), which has been launched by BMBF since 2008. A central goal of the BOP is to support students in the 7th grade through potential analyzes and in the 8th grade through practice -oriented professional orientation days. The pupils can explore their talents and strengths, which is underlined by practical experiences in extra -curricular learning locations.
