Funding for Barnim: This is how clubs can secure up to 20,000 euros!
In the rural Barnim region there is an exciting opportunity for clubs and associations to initiate creative projects and receive support. UntilOctober 31, 2025Interested actors can submit their ideas to the Barnim Local Action Group (LAG). This initiative is supported by the LEADER program, which offers financing for small projects through the regional budget.
Through the LEADER funding provided by the Brandenburg state government and the EU is co-financed, are in total200,000 eurosready. These funds are intended exclusively for voluntary projects, not for commercial companies or municipalities. The LAG will receive the submitted proposals onSeptember 16, 2025evaluate, and the funding must be received bySeptember 2026be implemented.
What is funded?
Both investment and non-investment projects can submit applications. Clubs, associations and legal entities under public law are eligible to apply, and financial support varies between:2,000 and 20,000 euros, without any personal contribution being required. The following are supported, among others:
- Fremdleistungen von Handwerkern
- Materialbeschaffung und Technik
- Entwicklungs- und Nutzungskonzepte
- Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Kulturprojekte
Some example projects that have already benefited from this funding program include equipping the Schildipark Panketal e.V. support association with mowing and sawing technology as well as the sustainable thermal insulation of the children's and youth workshop at MenschBrodowin e.V. Such initiatives show how positive LEADER funding can have an impact on the local community.
The path to success
In order to receive funding, all interested projects must be submitted using the “Regional Budget” project intake form. The LAG Barnim acts as a central contact point and evaluates the submitted proposals in a selection process. This happens within the same framework as other EU programs such as EIP Agri, to strengthen rural areas in Germany.
The application is an uncomplicated process that offers numerous options and full reimbursement of 100% of eligible expenses. The goal is to promote lively coexistence and support development in rural regions.
