Music theater TONI - Colorful instead of gray: A feast for the senses in Eberswalde!
Next week the horseshoe factory in Eberswalde will be the setting for a very special musical theater piece. On November 9th, 2025, the Barnim district music school will bring “TONI – Colorful instead of gray” to the stage. The Barnim website reports on a great commitment that brought together over 60 students from the Eberswalde and Bernau regional offices. There are actors aged 6 to 60 who embark on a journey through the sounds and emotions of music.
The director and author Jan Bartholdt developed the material with a creative project team so that the participants could contribute their own musical and scenic ideas. Through intensive rehearsals and design during a project camp during the fall break, the talents were able to develop their full potential. “The piece addresses the search for identity and expression through the power of music,” explains music school director Britta Fügener, who praises the passion of the young artists.
A framework full of creativity
The performances will take place on November 9th at 2:00 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. and offer a musical theater experience that surrounds the audience. Elaborate sound designs and imaginative lighting promise an experience that appeals to the senses. The tickets cost 10 euros, and are available at reduced prices for 7 euros. Interested visitors have the option to pre-order tickets by email musikschule@kvbarnim.de.
The performance also represents the ceremonial conclusion of the celebrations for the 70th anniversary of the district music school. A real highlight that is committed to art and culture!
