AWO social station receives Very Good – quality assured in Brandenburg!
There is reason to be happy in Brandenburg an der Havel: The AWO social station and day care achieved excellent results in the most recent quality inspection by the medical service. Heiko Horst-Müchler, managing director of AWO Sozial-Service non-profit GmbH, is very positive about the results. The AWO social station was able to achieve the top grade of 1.0 (very good) in all areas tested. Among other things, the nursing services, medically prescribed measures, the service organization and the direct questioning of the people cared for were assessed. The day care also successfully passed the quality test. This is really good news for the clients and their relatives, as Horst-Müchler emphasizes. The AWO plans to consistently continue on its chosen path of high-quality, people-centered care and to continually improve.
AWO – Sozial-Service non-profit GmbH has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 since 2014. This attests to the high quality of their services. The German Akkreditierungsstelle GmbH (DAkkS) has accredited ZertSozial GmbH, which further underlines the professionalism and seriousness of the AWO. The certificate was last renewed in November 2023. AWO's quality policy is based on a clear mission statement that is geared to the needs of clients and is continuously developed. AWO relies on customer and process-oriented service provision in order to further expand on its previous successes and secure its competitiveness. The aspects of personnel development and health protection, which are integrated into quality management, are particularly important.
Commitment to quality and transparency
AWO pursues a consistent customer orientation and attaches great importance to the satisfaction of its clients and employees. The results of employee and customer satisfaction are included annually in the management assessment and help to further optimize the quality of services. In addition, quality assurance and goals are regularly evaluated. In this way, AWO has created a system that not only meets the needs of customers, but also supports employees in their professional development.
AWO Service GmbH, a subsidiary of the AWO Landesverband Schleswig-Holstein e.V., complements AWO's offering. It has been offering measures for the professional integration of young people and adults for over 20 years and is supported by various institutions such as the employment agency, job centers and the European Social Fund. This shows that the AWO makes a valuable contribution not only in the care sector, but also in professional qualifications and is committed to the integration of people into the labor market.
Such an approach is not only exemplary, but also necessary in today's society, which is often faced with barriers. The AWO is actively committed to breaking down these barriers and thereby laying the foundation for a fairer and more inclusive future.
For everyone who depends on the AWO and its offerings or who is interested in high-quality care and social services, there is now a clear reason for joy and hope. Under the motto “Strong together”, the AWO continues to pursue its path with commitment – and that is good news for everyone in the region.
