Brandenburg's night day care center: revolutionary solution for single parents!

In the heart of Brandenburg an der Havel, an innovative solution has recently been available for single parents in shift work: nightly care for children in the KiTa living environments on Gallberg. Parents get their money's worth here, because they can know their children in a lovingly designed environment in safety while they themselves do their night duty. rbb24 informs that the furnishings are equipped with beds and age-appropriate sanitary facilities and can support a maximum of twelve children up to twelve years.

A special focus is on the process: children are brought to bed between 7 p.m. and 8 p.m., while the parents can then pursue their work in peace. So many a parent will be happy to have some time for yourself after the night shift before the kids are picked up. Alternatively, the little ones can stay up to lunch - ideal for parents who have a longer layer.

an offer with special requirements

Night care is mainly aimed at single parents who have to prove their roster in order to be able to use the places. The concept behind the daycare center is not only designed for care, but attaches great importance to the development of the children. In the daycare center, the little ones are seen as active co-designers of their everyday life, according to the website of the Lebenshilfe Brandenburg-Potsdam e.V. Lebenshilfe . This is where movement and healthy eating are the focus of the pedagogical work.

The daycare center is barrier -free in the location in the northern town of Brandenburg an der Havel. In addition to the twelve overnight stays, it also offers space for a total of 80 crèche places for the little ones between one and three years as well as 70 kindergarten places for children to school and 54 daycare places for school children.

The challenges in childcare

The necessary support for parents in shift work is undeniable, especially with regard to the increasing demands in everyday work. The Ministry of Education, Youth and Sport emphasizes that around 200,000 children are looked after in over 2,000 daycare centers, whereby the childcare rate is steadily improved both in the crèche and afterwards. In the country's crèche care, the quota is around 60 percent, even 98 percent in the kindergarten area.

In order to meet the needs of parents and children, the state policy focuses on improving the framework conditions in early childhood education. In 2023, over 685 million euros were provided for childcare care in order to be able to go into better in the different types of facilities such as cribs, daycare centers and hoards.

The introduction of the nightly care offer in the KiTa living environments is not only a further step to support working parents, but also shows how important individual solutions are in today's society. It remains to be seen how this forward -looking concept will develop and whether similar offers in other cities and municipalities fall on fertile soil.
