Fashion miracle from Brandenburg: Paulina Tsvetanova conquers Fashion Week!

On June 18, 2025, the cloister of the Cathedral of St. Peter and Paul in Brandenburg was the scene of an extraordinary event: the Bulgarian designer Paulina Tsvetanova presented her latest collection “Maria” in a highly anticipated fashion show. Tsvetanova, who is regularly active at international fashion events in cities such as Berlin, New York, Milan and Paris, makes people sit up and take notice with her unique design language. Her fashion has already been featured in renowned magazines such as ELLE, Vogue and Glamour discussed.

The Maria collection will also be featured in an exhibition at the Cathedral Museum, providing a great opportunity for fashion-loving visitors to get to know the artistry behind the designs. Tsvetanova completed her studies in Germany, where she studied art history, philosophy, Byzantine studies and cultural management. She built an impressive European network for contemporary sculpture and previously worked as director of marketing and sales at a craft and design magazine.

A look at the collection

The fashion that Tsvetanova presents not only shows an eye for detail, but also a feel for upcoming trends. Inspirations from past eras and various cultural influences flow into their collection, which makes them particularly exciting. In the exhibition, visitors can discover, among other things, hand-turned wooden vases by Patrick Rapp, contemporary jewelry and vintage pieces that exude a unique charm, including an impressive costume by Emanuel Ungaro and a vintage dress by Escada. Such treasures, made from hand-picked materials and filled with stories, do good business and appeal to the senses.

But it's not just the fashion that impresses: there is also a selection of contemporary art and design objects on display. From paintings to elegant pieces of jewelry to sculptural works, which are presented in a cabinet of curiosities in the style of the Petersburg Hanging, visitors will want for nothing. A real highlight are Tom Stöckl's pieces of jewelry, which are made of synthetic resin and impress with their creative design.

A historical context

Contemporary fashion, as created by designers like Tsvetanova, has a long tradition. The most diverse styles, from the unconventional hippies of the 60s to the rock influences of the late period, show how changeable and diverse fashion can be. The inspirations from past decades are reflected in the collections today. Tsvetanova takes up elements that also appeal to today's fashion enthusiasts - the mix of the past and modern is a trend that is certainly very popular.

Whether in the stylish presentation of fashion or the combination of art and craft, Tsvetanova has a knack for blurring the boundaries between art and fashion. Her participation in international trade fairs has not only made a name for her, but has also left a lasting impression on the fashion world. Today we are taking another step into the future of contemporary design with the “Maria” collection.
