On the last weekend in June 2025, Lausitz will be all about festivals and cultural highlights. From June 27th to 29th, the region can expect a wealth of events that promise exciting experiences for young and old. The celebrations begin on Friday, June 27th with the popular Rose Garden Festival, which starts at 9 a.m. in the Forster Rose Garden. From 1 p.m. there will be an open construction site day at the NVK Nordkopf in Lübbenau, while in Senftenberg from 2 p.m. the fairground festival in the city center will ensure fun and a good mood. A very special highlight will certainly be the pottery and crafts market at the Alte Ziegelei Klein Kölzig, which opens its doors at 2 p.m.
Cultural highlights
The cultural landscape of Lusatia is enriched by numerous events. Not only are regional festivals on the program, but also various concerts and theater performances, such as the play “The Secret of Senfti” in Senftenberg. This shows how diverse the region's cultural offerings are. RBB24 emphasizes that next year the Lausitz Festival from August 24th to September 14th will attract numerous visitors. The festival is intended to support the cultural revitalization of the brown coal region in the face of structural change and includes around 60 events, including theater, dance and music. A highlight will be the solo performance of Franz Kafka’s “The Trial” on September 8th in Weißwasser.
