What a day for cycling in Germany! On July 5, 2025, the talented Lea Sophie Friedrich again conquered the championship title in the Kyrin, and that after a long dry spell since 2019. At the 138th German German Championships, which took place in Dudenhofen, Rhineland-Palatinate, she showed her skills in an impressive performance. This championship was not just a simple competition for them, but a big comeback that was traced with many.
The championships that have been held since 1884 and continue a long tradition this year also brought other exciting results. Maximilian Dörnbach shone and was able to score two titles: he secured the victory over 1,000 meters and triumphed in the sprint. In the sprint final, Dörnbach prevailed 2-0 against last year's champion Luca Spiegel and thus achieved his gold medal for the fourth time in his career after winning in 2018, 2019 and 2023. Nik Schröter from Cottbus grabbed the bronze medal in the sprint and thus completed the podium.
The way to the championship
