Ted Tattermusch moves from Jena to Cottbus: reinforcements required!
A significant change in the world of football: striker Ted Tattermusch is leaving FC Carl Zeiss Jena and joining FC Energie Cottbus. This was officially announced on Thursday, June 12th. At 1.94 meters, the 24-year-old not only has a striking stature, but also an outstanding talent that Cottbus urgently needs in the coming third division season 2025/2026. With its new signing and other commitments such as Moritz Hannemann and Theo Ogbidi, Cottbus would like to attack at the top of the 3rd league next season and cause a sensation.
In his last season at Carl Zeiss Jena, Tattermusch scored a total of 12 goals and provided 4 assists in 29 games. This record underlines his potential and his role as a crucial player in the offense. Coach Claus-Dieter Wollitz emphasizes how much the club needs more presence in the air - which is exactly what Tattermusch can provide with his aerial strength and robust playing style. “With Ted we have signed a very interesting player that we can rely on,” said squad planner Maniyel Nergiz.
Tattermusch's career
Born in Meppen, Tattermusch began his career in the Teglingen/Meppen/Schwefingen syndicate and moved to the youth department of SV Meppen at the age of 11. In the 3rd league he played 14 times for his hometown club and scored one goal. In the summer of 2021 he moved on to Borussia Dortmund, where he played a total of 82 third division games in the U23 team over three seasons, in which he contributed 2 goals and 7 assists. In the 2024/2025 season, Tattermusch was part of Jena's Regionalliga Nordost team, where he was able to demonstrate his current form.
The move to Cottbus is an important step for the striker, who now wants to prove himself in the 3rd league. The signing will not only strengthen the offense, but it also marks a new beginning for Tattermusch. Wolfitz emphasizes that with him Cottbus can rely on more flexibility in attack - this player has the potential to meet expectations and help the team to new heights.
For Energie Cottbus fans, it remains to be seen how the new signing will develop in the coming season and whether he can make the difference they hope for. What is clear, however, is that Tattermusch is a powerful offensive player who has big goals. In him, the club has found a man whose skills could be crucial for their league ambitions.
