First Mpox case in Brandenburg: City on alert!
There is reason for concern in Brandenburg an der Havel: the first registered Mpox case was reported in the city on July 2, 2025. Health situation and protective measures

However, it is recommended that vaccination against Mpox be offered to certain groups of people, especially men who have sexual contacts with other men and frequently change partners. Signs of infection typically include skin rashes, fever, and muscle pain. In most cases, the course is mild and patients recover well. However, the current infected person must remain isolated for at least 21 days until they are symptom-free and all skin changes have subsided.
