Chain robbery in Falkensee: Police are looking for the suspected perpetrator!
On July 4, 2023, at lunchtime, a brazen attack occurred in Falkensee in Havelland, which is now bringing the criminal police and the public to the scene. An unknown perpetrator approached a woman on Glienicker Strasse and repeatedly grabbed her necklaces, which he tore off her neck with a sudden pull. Despite the fact that the chains were not made of gold, the perpetrator was not impressed by the clue and fled without further words after his unsuccessful robbery attempt. Luckily the lady was unharmed, but the incident left many people feeling uneasy in the otherwise quiet area.
The police have now published a photo of the suspect as the search is in full swing. The man we are looking for is around 1.70 meters tall, between 20 and 25 years old and has a slim build. He is asked to come forward - or better yet, other people who recognize him or have seen him are urgently asked to provide information. Valuable information about the identity and whereabouts of the perpetrator can be transmitted by calling the Havelland Police Station on 033722 275-0. Alternatively, a Notice Form is also available, in which the wanted number 60-25 should be stated.
What do the authorities say?
Incidents like the one in Falkensee are alarming and make it clear that this is not the order of the day in this safe region. The authorities therefore reiterate their commitment to solving such acts. “Any information can be helpful and we depend on your support,” said a spokesman for the police station. Even though the woman was unharmed, it remains important that such attacks do not go unpunished and that residents keep an eye on what is happening in their neighborhood.
Women in the area are urged to be vigilant and act alarmed if they encounter anyone of similar appearance. The incident shows once again that crime is unfortunately not unknown even in supposedly safe environments. Wearing things in public can quickly become the focus of thieves - so it's better to keep your head down a little.
In summary, it is now important to keep your eyes open and help the police catch the perpetrator. Only together can we stay safe in our beloved city.
