A strong storm is imminent! The squalls are another serious threat, locally reaching speeds of up to 105 kilometers per hour. Sebastian Axe, deputy district fire chief of Havelland, strongly advises people to avoid trees and open spaces. The local fire departments have already taken measures to deal with the impending storm.
Fire departments are preparing
The fire brigades in the Havelland district are preparing for numerous operations. Command points are set up to coordinate the management of operations within the self-administration. “We have provided trained personnel for the command posts,” said Ax. In the coming hours, isolated heavy gusts of between 70 and 85 kilometers per hour are expected, which is why the daily standard deployment is canceled and all deployments will be prioritized and transmitted by email.
