In Brandenburg this year, 9,214 graduates can look forward to successfully completing their Abitur. The 337 students who achieved the top grade of 1.0 enjoy particular respect. Strong performances in Ostprignitz-Ruppin and Prignitz
In Ostprignitz-Ruppin, 20 of the 293 high school graduates were able to impress with the top grade of 1.0. Here the district average is 2.1, which is considerable. At the Evangelical School Neuruppin (Evi), 15 of 121 high school graduates achieved the highest grade. In Prignitz, a small but fine contingent of 11 graduates out of 163 high school graduates achieved a grade of 1.0; the regional average is also 2.3.
The national average of the Abitur grades in Brandenburg is 2.2, which represents a constant performance compared to previous years. Particularly noteworthy: In 2024, 352 high school graduates received a 1.0, which shows that a little fewer students achieved this grade this year.
A successful conclusion and an outlook on the future
Education Minister Steffen Freiberg (SPD) did not miss the opportunity to congratulate the new high school graduates. He hopes that many of them will stay in the region and develop their potential there. The pleasing ratio between passed and failed exams remains stable: around 560 students were unable to meet the requirements.
