Ceremonial return to the Middle Ages: Wesendorf celebrates 650 years!

A small village that celebrates great: Wesendorf near Zehdenick celebrated its 650th anniversary last weekend. It is clear that such a round birthday has to be celebrated with a very special parade. The highlight of the celebrations was the traditional move, which led through the streets on Saturday at 1 p.m. The participants came not only from Wesendorf itself, but also from the surrounding communities. Many of them were dressed in historical bast and proudly showed the traditions of their village. The audience waited on the side of the road, clapped enthusiastically and let themselves be infected by the festive atmosphere.

Visitors were able to enjoy regional delicacies at various stands, while a grill stand for the hungry stomachs were present. For the little guests there was a bulging program with a fairytale truck, face painting, hobby horse races and a bouncy castle.

The festival weekend began on Friday with a relaxed warm-up, in which the DJs pill, tub and elies provided musical entertainment. On Saturday the place filled with guests and families who were looking forward to the full program. In addition to the big move, there were numerous attractions that made the heart of every festival visitor beat faster. The built -in knightly camp put those present into the Middle Ages and offered exciting demonstrations that were commented on with many Oohs and Aahs.
