On Tuesday morning, July 5, 2025, an extremely courageous and unscrupulous attack on a cash-in-transit truck took place in Berlin-Charlottenburg. At around 7:40 a.m., several masked perpetrators were in front of a bank branch on Kurfürstendamm when they threatened the money messengers while they were filling ATMs. Loud City report One of the men wasted no time: he pulled out a live firearm and fired, damaging the bank's front door. Intensive investigations
A large police force is now in action - around 220 police officers have been mobilized to investigate suspicions of attempted robbery and murder. On-site forensics cover the entire area of the crime. A tip portal was set up to motivate potential witnesses to provide their video or photo recordings and thus help solve the crime. The police currently estimate the amount of the loot to be unclear, but assume that only a fraction of the money was stolen.
In addition, this incident shows once again that Berlin is considered a “hotspot for organized crime”. Similar attacks occur again and again in the capital, as comparative reports show - not least in recent years in the districts of Charlottenburg and on the famous Ku'damm.
