A weekend full of highlights: celebrations and festivals in the region!

The weekend is approaching and with it numerous exciting events in and around Strausberg! The children's festival starts in Herzfelde on Friday, June 20th, and delights the little guests with a colorful participation and entertainment program from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. There is also the Bridge Festival in Fredersdorf-Vogelsdorf, which will take place on Saturday, June 21st, from 12 p.m. to midnight and on Sunday, June 22nd, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Highlights include a large raffle on Sunday from 12.30 p.m. According to moz.de, entry to the festival is free, making it an ideal destination for the whole family.

Saturday will be particularly exciting with the dance spectrum in the Neuenhagen community center, which starts at 3 p.m. The 650th anniversary celebrations in Reichenow also promise to be a big celebration. The parade starts at 11 a.m. and a subsequent program awaits visitors without admission. For music lovers there is a concert with “Norman Ebel & Guests” on Saturday evening at 8 p.m. in the Theater unterdrunter in Buckow; Tickets for this cost 25 euros.

Biker service in Neuhardenberg

A very special event for motorcyclists is also on the program: the biker service in Neuhardenberg on Saturday, June 21st. The bikers will gather at 2:30 p.m. before the service begins at 3 p.m. This ritual, which has a tradition of more than 60 years, combines spirituality and motorcycling. According to motowert.de, the community of motorcyclists is celebrated here, while important topics such as road safety and remembrance of deceased friends are addressed.

The biker service in Neuhardenberg is part of a broad movement that can be found in many regions of Germany, including Berlin-Brandenburg. The group “Christ and Motorcycle Berlin” (CuM) exists here, which was founded in 1974 to raise awareness of victimless traffic and to enable commemoration in a dignified manner. The members regularly organize excursions and social events, which are a real meeting point for bikers.

But the events don’t stop there! On Saturday the Midsummer Night Festival will also be celebrated in Küstrin-Kietz from 6 p.m. For the entire family and nature lovers, there is a family day at the Schweizerhaus Seelow on Sunday, June 22nd, which will delight visitors with Biodiversity Day from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The village festival in Altlewin will also take place on Saturday to mark the 650th anniversary of the first mention, starting at 3:30 p.m.
