Things are cozy at the 30th Brandenburg Country Party, which opened today with lots of brass music and wonderful regional barbecue specialties. The central ceremony took place at the Gut Schmerwitz organic farm in the Potsdam-Mittelmark district, where around 130 different hosts looked forward to numerous visitors. Up to 100,000 guests are planned, who can look forward to a colorful program in the rural surroundings. Last year there were around 75,000 visitors, so expectations are high. The Agriculture Minister of Brandenburg, Hanka Mittelstädt, was personally present and had the honor of walking through the courtyard and admiring the variety of exhibits. The focus was particularly on the tractors and agricultural machinery on display as well as the carriage rides, which give visitors a rustic insight into rural tradition. A Kremser is a spacious carriage that is pulled by horses - a real experience for young and old.

A feast for all senses

From June 14th to 15th, 2025, visitors can not only admire the exhibitions, but also try out a lot of things. Old craft techniques are demonstrated and there is interesting information on topics such as milking robots, sausage production and wine harvesting. The culinary offering includes a variety of regional delicacies that can be enjoyed on site. Even if there is a huge rush and it is temporarily not possible to pick strawberries yourself, food remains secure - and after all, that is the most important thing, right?
