Witnesses reported seeing several people on the abandoned commercial property around 2:30 a.m. At the same time, a fire on the property was reported via the rescue control center, which called the police and fire department into action.
The fire department had its hands full extinguishing burning cables in the old building complex. Meanwhile, officers came across an illegal party described as an “undeclared music event”. The police recorded the personal details of those present and prohibited the celebration. An investigation into possible connections between the celebrants and the fire is currently underway Daily Mirror reported.

The authorities urge you not to enter the former state parliament building and the surrounding area. There is a danger to life from falling building parts. The owner of the former state parliament is the Berlin real estate company Sanus. Although the 2015 sales agreement stipulates significant obligations for the renovation of the area, no construction activity has taken place since 2019. If these obligations are not fulfilled by the end of 2025, the contract could have serious consequences for Sanus.
