The deadlines about the choice are particularly important. From July 21, 2025, election posters may be hung in Potsdam. The election notifications will be sent to the citizens entitled to vote from August 11, 2025. From the same date, it is also possible to apply for postal voting documents, which can be picked up or filled out and submitted on site by September 19, 2025 in the new postal voting office, which will open on September 1, 2025.
If no candidate reaches the necessary majority in the first ballot on September 21, there will be a runoff election between the two applicants with the most votes on October 12. This shows which of the candidates can win the trust of the Potsdamer.
