Unidram: A festival full of surprises and international highlights!
On Tuesday, November 4th, 2025, the starting signal will be given for the 31st edition of the international theater festival Unidram in the charming Schiffbauergasse in Potsdam. With a colorful mix of exciting performances and cultural insights, we can expect a breathtaking program that not only entertains, but also makes you think. The British-Belgian company Reckless Sleepers will crown the festival with the German premiere of their piece “Negative Space”. This work tackles harsh themes such as gender politics, domestic violence and the Spanish Civil War - all in an empty, claustrophobic space that captivates viewers. Festival director Jens-Uwe Sprengel emphasizes the successful mix of entertainment and seriousness that makes the festival so special every year.
A total of ten international ensembles are expected on the festival days from November 4th to 8th, including the bands Rufus Temple Orchestra and Fekete Seretlek. A highlight will certainly be the German premiere of the dance performance “Sahara”, which will be presented by Claudia Castellucci, co-founder of the theater group SocÏetas Raffaello Sanzio. Here, shadowy bodies move in a reduced space and take the audience into a timeless dimension.
Diverse program for all generations
With “Popcorn Machine”, the French artist group My!Laika presents a piece that oscillates between live music and new circus. The Münster collective Rue Obscure will also not be missing and will provide inspiration with a walk-in installation based on Max Frisch's “Man Appears in the Holocene”, which includes exciting stations such as a rain and lemon room. Another highlight is the dark fairy tale adaptation “The Bremen Town Musicians” by Compagnie La Pendue, which will be experienced as a puppet theater with live music. Last but not least, the Spanish dance company Thomas Noone Dance will present their piece “Impostor,” which is inspired by Edgar Allen Poe’s “The Duke of Omelette.”
Parallel to the festival, the Halloween season offers a particularly magical atmosphere that brings monsters and ghosts into the streets. This year, Halloween is once again all about fun and joy, regardless of age. You can give your friends and family a little joy with numerous spooky Halloween GIFs. These include animated pumpkins, witches and even skeletons that haunt the digital realms. A spooky selection of GIFs with something to suit every taste ensures the spooky atmosphere is in the air. Whether it's a black cat hiding behind a pumpkin or a dancing skeleton - that's something nice! This will make the time around Halloween a happy event with a sure hand.
The technology problem in mind
Although the events are creative, there is no denying that technical challenges can also enrich life. For example, a new post about common computer problems addresses the annoying “Blue Screen of Death” that plagues many users. The problem becomes particularly noticeable after 3-4 hours of operation and causes frustration. Anyone who is currently struggling with Windows 7 Professional 64-bit and encounters such obstacles will find numerous repair instructions and tips to repair the damaged files. After all, the combination of everyday life, leisure time and technology is an exciting challenge - which we should all take on with a smile!
So the next time in Potsdam is absolutely promising, be it the theater performances at the Unidram Festival or the Halloween celebrations. Visit the events and let yourself be carried away by the artistic diversity and the colorful hustle and bustle of this unique time!
