She was born on June 27, 1926 in Wittenberge and has experienced many ups and downs since then. Her birthday was not only celebrated with gifts, but also with songs specially composed for them, which focused on their elegant appearance. On this special day she was wearing a T-shirt with the inscription "I'm 99 and Sunday child" and beamed for joy.

The atmosphere in day care was festive. Hildegard, who visits the facility three times a week and enjoys the company of other guests there, has developed into a popular personality over the years. She started her life in the school in Wittenberge, where boys and girls still had separate entrances. After her school days, she completed an apprenticeship as a butcher's shop at the Puttkammer butcher's shop and joined the Grabow butcher in Perleberg in 1943, where she worked for over 20 years.
