A look back at successful years

This is not the first time that the Oerlinghausen youth fire department has fought its way to the top. After 19 years, they brought the trophy back and showed that they not only have talent, but also a strong team spirit. They owed their qualification to their overall victory at the Lippe district youth fire brigade camp last year, which laid the foundation for participation in these state youth fire brigade games. Oerlinghausen has a long tradition in this competition - the first state youth fire brigade games took place in Kreuztal in 2004, where they also won.

The next games are scheduled to take place in Oerlinghausen again in 2025. Under the direction of the city youth fire chief Leon Hantke and his deputy, the event will certainly be another highlight in the fire brigade calendar. The joy that these events bring is reflected not only in the competitions, but also in the new friendships made and the deep solidarity among the young people, who for many are more than just fellow competitors - they are one big family.

The NRW youth fire brigade will continue to be supported by the work of State youth fire brigade warden, who is elected every three years. These and numerous other activities of the State Youth Fire Brigade Committee make a decisive contribution to promoting young firefighters in the region.
