In Forst (Lausitz) today the coronation of the new Rose Queen provided a true feast for the senses. Stefanie Nabel, who now has the title Stefanie III. wears, was duly celebrated. The event marks the celebratory start of the 2025 Rose Garden Festival, which lasts until June 29, 2025 and offers numerous attractions in the East German Rose Garden. The coronation took place in the Romantic Park and was attended by Forest Mayor Simone Taubenek, who wished the new queen an unforgettable term in office. The rose garden festivals are an annual tradition and represent a highlight in the city's event calendar. Under the motto "Rosey times - 25 years of the town twinning of Forst, Lubsko, Brody" there is a cut rose show that attracts many visitors on the opening day. The well-known singer Thomas Anders will also delight the audience with his hits. The “Night of 1,000 Lights” promises magical moments when the Romantic Park is transformed into a sea of lights.
