Dramatic mayoral election in Jüterbog: recount requested!

On June 29, 2025, the city of Jüterbog experienced an election evening with dramatic twists and uncertainties. Citizens had the opportunity to cast their vote for the new full-time mayor, and the results caused surprising developments. At 52.1 percent, voter turnout was significantly below the result of the last election in 2019, where turnout was 66 percent. A total of 10,525 eligible voters were called upon to cast their votes.
