On November 11th, 2025, the fifth season began in Milmersdorf with a colorful carnival start, which was all about the motto “Dance, laugh, be happy, the KCM invites you again”. The local children ensured a turbulent opening when they stormed the stairs in front of the “Zum Dicken” restaurant to meet honorary mayor Elke Grabowski. They captured the key to the community and eagerly collected chocolate coins and notes from the community treasury. A special eye-catcher were four girls from the fifth and sixth grades who dressed up as “pajama girls” in colorful pajamas and caused a stir not only at the parade but also at school.
The “Pajama Girls” are part of the Milmersdorf Carnival Club (KCM), which upholds the lively carnival tradition in the community. Every Monday evening the members meet for training. Next year the club will even be celebrating its 40th anniversary, which will add to the joy of its members. The route of the parade led from the gymnasium over the concrete street to the newly opened Alte Templiner Straße, a measure that was ceremoniously inaugurated by the former mayor of Templin, Detlef Tabbert.
