Kaufmann describes this condition as disgusting and he is already afraid of the infestation of vermin. Despite repeated notifications to the administration, they cannot take action due to an ongoing eviction lawsuit. The real estate agent confirms that the condition of the apartment is unsatisfactory, but legal action is necessary to improve it.

Kaufmann eventually turned to the press to draw attention to his predicament. He is hoping for a quick clarification from the Uckermark district health department. The press spokeswoman for the health department has already assured that the matter will be taken care of promptly. While Kaufmann is heavily burdened by these circumstances, other residents are also hoping for a quick solution to the problem, which is not only important for Kaufmann, but for the entire living environment. The real estate agent and a lawyer inspected the apartment and determined that there were currently no odors or vermin.
