Templin relies on the future: Connor starts training in the SHK trade!
Templin, Deutschland - On September 1, a new phase of life begins for Connor Klein. The 16-year-old will start training as an investment mechanic at Kuntsche Heizung-Sanitätechnik GmbH & Co. KG in Templin. Connor is part of the “Productive Learning” project, which is intended to help students in classes nine and ten to gain practical experience. The students sit at school for two days a week, while they get practical insights into different companies over three days. Connor has already gained initial experience in the family business of Nico Kuntsche, which has been based in Templin since 1961. The company is also a partner of the Templin secondary school and was awarded for its excellent professional orientation.
Nico Kuntsche attaches great importance to the personal suitability of the trainees. "Notes are not everything. A good demeanor, reliability and real interest count as much," he emphasizes. A longer internship is a prerequisite for training. Connor already assisted in customer service during the internship and helped with maintenance work. The “Old Brewery” construction site particularly addressed him. One more reason why he finds it "cool" to start his training in his hometown.
The role of the plant mechanic
Training as a plant mechanic offers many exciting options and perspectives in the energy industry. Future topics such as heat pumps, hydrogen and digital control technology are not only trendy, but also increase the demand for specialists. "This training can be the entry into the energy future", says es-jobs.de. The profession is diverse, requires technical understanding and a good sense of teamwork.
After completing the training, the newly baked journeyman is open. You can continue to qualify and take over operating management through further training as a master (Bachelor Professional). This also enables access to study without a high school diploma. "With the master's certificate, you can not only train your own apprentices, but also advise home owners, for example on the climate-friendly planning of new buildings", adds handwerk.de.
increasing demand in craft
Interest in training in the heating and sanitary area has increased in the past two years, which, according to Nico Kuntsche, lies, among other things, the energy transition and the associated technical challenges. These changes require specialists who can deal with the new technologies. The profession of plant mechanic is therefore not only future -proof, but also a real opportunity for everyone who enjoys working.
With the upcoming training and the current developments in the energy industry, Connor Klein's step into the professional future could have a significant impact on his life - and possibly also on energy supply in his home country.
