Breminale 2025: More live music and exciting highlights on the bank of the Weser!

The Breminale, the popular festival on the bank of the Weser in Bremen, faces new challenges this year, but also announces an exciting program. From July 9th to 13th, the organizers, led by interim director David Weingärtner and program organizer Sophia Lebeck, will present a refined offer. The focus is on live music and a diverse cultural program. The planning has been optimized to avoid overlaps, and for the first time there will be a clear delimitation between the stages. "Studio Illegale" is the only stage for DJS, while the Radio-Bremen stage will shine with artists such as "Holler My Dear" and "Black Sea Dahu", reports the Kreiszeitung .

The festival has always been distinguished by its freedom of admission, but faces financial challenges in times of rising costs. In order to maintain tradition, soli tickets are now sold that are important support for the event. These are available in different categories: the lawn for 10 euros and the place of honor for 100 euros. With the purchase of the soli tickets, solidarity is to be promoted with the Breminals. Buyers can look forward to smaller rewards on the festival site, so Sceneight .

variety and inclusion in the program

A special feature of the Breminale is the wide range of artists and initiatives. Both newcomers and established local artists appear on the stage "lock", whereby the opening day with the appearance of Pop Office Bremen is particularly highlighted. The parking stage has expanded its cooperation and invites initiatives from various quarters to present their projects. At the end of the festival, interpreters of “Song & Whispers” will occur.

In order to ensure better accessibility, various measures were taken, including the construction of a wheelchair podium and WiFi streaming for people with hearing impairment. In addition, in cooperation with the "Inclusion must be loud" initiative, a free accompanying service is offered. The entire festival does without disposable dishes and offers free drinking water, which underlines the commitment to sustainability.

promotion of the festival scene

To support festivals such as the Breminale, a festival funding fund was launched at the federal level. It offers up to 50,000 euros support for festivals of popular music and jazz. The federal government has made a total of four million euros available for this. The aim of this initiative is to promote culturally significant projects and give them structure. This year, 127 festivals were selected, whereby special emphasis is placed on sustainability, diversity and accessibility, as the Federal Government . With this support, not only the diversity of the German festival landscape is promoted, but also strengthened cultural identity.

The Breminale has therefore set up in order to maintain the tradition of the entry -free festival even in times of financial difficulties. The organizers and the supporters of the event are required to spread the message of solidarity and to transform the stages of the Weserufer into a sounding experience for the coming days.
