Constantin Schreiber: Farewell to the Tagesschau and new adventure!

Constantin Schreiber, the former spokesman for the "Tagesschau", presented his last show after eight years and thus says goodbye to ARD at his own request. The 45-year-old journalist, who had his last appearance on May 25, 2025, looked back with gratitude at the time in the news editorial team. Schreiber expressed that he always appreciated cooperation with colleagues and spectators. In particular, Marcus Bornheim, the first editor-up editor of ARD-Aktuell, regrets his departure, but respects Schreiber's decision to devote himself to new challenges. Schreiber plans to work as a foreign reporter for Axel-Springer-Verlag in the future and at the same time continue his late night show in the Berlin Pfefferberg Theater.

His career began after studying law, followed by a traineeship and an activity as a reporter in the Middle East. Before moving to ARD, he moderated the N-TV news channel, where he and his team received the renowned Grimme Prize for the “Marhaba-Arriving in Germany” in 2016. In the years after, Schreiber shaped the 8-o'clock edition of the "Tagesschau", which is the most watched news program on German television with an average of 9.6 million viewers, as reported.

A look back at a special time
