Andrea Stanicic, known for her impressive portraits, captures the confessable, human moment in her work. Visitors can look forward to an artistic examination that tells emotions and stories. The connection between the cities and their cultures is impressively visible in this exhibition.

history and promotion of the museum

The Museum of Art Rockenhausen has a long history and continuously receives support from well -known institutions. In 2016, for example, the Museum received help from Drac Languedoc Roussillon from Montpellier, France. The Fondation Colas in Boulogne-Billancourt/Paris and the Avi Pregniard, Fondation Taylor from Paris have also contributed to enriching the museum stock. In recent years, the museum has been happy to receive various awards, including the “Résidence Moulin à NEF” price of the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts in the USA in 2015.

This support enabled the museum to organize several individual and group exhibitions at a high level. In the period from 2020 to 2024, the museum benefits from the funding for the cultural foundation of the Free State of Saxony, which should give the institution additional buoyancy.

regional art scene and partnerships

The double exhibition in Rockenhausen is not only a local event, but also reflects the continuing international relationships that the museum maintains. Projects that are promoted by city twinning are crucial for the promotion of art and culture across national borders. In the Stuttgart region, the Gallery of the city of Backnang has established itself as a fixed size. It offers four exhibitions of contemporary art every year and has developed a national reputation as a forum for current, mostly young artistic positions.

With an exhibition area of 450 m², the gallery contributes to enriching the cultural landscape and shows works by well -known artists that have been exhibited since 1997. This proves how important such cultural institutions are not only locally, but also nationally in order to keep the art scene alive.
